Walks in Dandenong Ranges National Park

This park covers an area of exceptional natural beauty and historical significance, providing a peaceful retreat from the bustling city of Melbourne. It spans over 3215 hectares and is divided into five forested areas, each occupying approximately one fifth of the total area: Fern Tree Gully, Mt Evelyn, Sherbrooke, Doongalla and Olinda. The Dandenong Ranges mountains offer magnificent views of Melbourne, with waterfalls like Olinda Falls and Sherbrooke Falls being a notable feature of the cool temperate rainforest. These falls are at their best after rainfall.
