*** Mount Macedon Memorial Cross is closed for works from June to September 2025 *** Climb the steep trail from Douglas Road to the Mount Macedon Memorial Cross for a good workout, rewarded by spectacular views all the way to Melbourne’s CBD. Continue north before returning along Macedon’s western slopes. You will encounter muddy tracks and snow in winter.
