Walks in Baw Baw National Park

The park encompasses a diverse array of natural landscapes, including rugged mountains and rivers, expansive grassy snow plains, and towering granite tors. Situated to the south of the Great Dividing Range, elevations in the park reach as high as 1567m and the area experiences snowfall between June and September. A highlight of the park is Mushroom Rocks, located near Mt Erica, which comprises a labyrinth of colossal granite tors. Furthermore, the park's plateau falls within domestic water supply catchments, with the upper reaches of the Thomson River draining the Baw Baw Plateau and adjacent mountains before ultimately cascading into Thomson Dam.
