We visited Altona for a walk on Saturday December 3rd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Altona Beach was nice but some sections had a lot of dead seaweed that was… smelly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We followed the Hobsons Bay Coastal Trail toward Laverton Creek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trail was much less crowded here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We reached Truganina Park and walked up to the hill to enjoy bay and city views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was an interesting sculpture here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We walked down the 100 Steps of Federation (we didn’t count) and returned back to the car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Usually we go to St Kilda when we want to walk by the sea but we can reach Altona beach a bit quicker thanks to Metropolian Ring Road so we’re going to come back here more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
